One of the places I was keen on taking my kids to in Baguio is Tam-Awan village. It was a bit of a distance from the city but cabs in Baguio don’t really charge high and there are jeepneys that you can take to get there and back. In fact, we took the jeepney back because while it was easy to get a ride going there from the Strawberry farm, we found it hard to get a cab going back to the city proper. Learning about the Igorots I learned about Tam-Awan while searching for places to visit in Baguio […]
I’ve seen photos of The Christmas Galaxy at Baguio Country Club a couple of years ago and thought right away to bring the kids to see it when we get the chance. It made Baguio more enticing to run off to with your kids on Christmas, which has been one of the things Jay and I have been dreaming of since we got married. But of course we cannot leave on Christmas eve because it’s when we usually have dinner with my side of the family. It’s a tradition. Plus, it has been a request that my parents made to […]
We booked our room at Albergo di Ferroca a.k.a. Albergo hotel via Agoda.com. We availed of the book now, pay later scheme which was great because it allows you to reserve your room for a week or so until you have the funds to pay for it. The deadline for our reservation was December 26. That was when the site claimed our payment online. We were so anxious about confirming our reservation that we called the hotel itself when our payment was taking too long to get through. We were quickly assured that the reservation had been made but that […]
Since we enjoyed our first AirBnB experience, we thought that celebrating our youngest son’s birthday with another AirBnB booking was a great idea. This time, we decided to book a unit owned by our friends, Martel and Alelie, at SM Light Residences. Alelie told us ahead that the unit is so much smaller than the one we previously booked, but we didn’t mind. I read the feedback their very satisfied clients left on the site about their unit so we were confident that the place would be nice. (READ: A Birthday and an AirBnB staycation) Besides, smaller’s fine with us. We’re only […]
Our eldest recently turned 11 and he didn’t want a cake. He just wanted an additional model to add to his Gundam collection and put together for his video channel. He says he’s not much into cakes and would much rather have ice cream instead. So okay, we got him his Gundam and we had Ice Cream, but since his birthday falls on a holiday, we decided on having a staycation. We originally planned to check into Island Cove and give the kids a little nature kick, but it’s been raining a lot since the beginning of the month and we felt […]
