We decided to try Paradis Natural Ice Cream last Monday, right after we left RAVE Pasig Rainforest. We took the cab and went to East Capitol to look for it.

I first learned about Paradis Natural Ice Cream when my friend, Jo Chris, who helps her aunt manage the business, invited us to try their signature flavors on her birthday.
My Malunggay ice cream
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to go because one of our kids had an event that day, so I just promised Jo Chris that we will find the time to visit the place and try out their products some other time.
Cute little cafe

I took the picture across the street, from Kambal Pandesal.
East Capitol is a long strip of local restaurants and small businesses. Jo Chris’ instruction was that Paradis is right in front of Kambal Pandesal. And so it was!
Their branch in East Capitol is very small, as opposed to their Quezon City branch, which their staff, Noy, says has an upper floor. We came between 5 or 6 PM in the afternoon and the place was bare, which was good for us because we were able to occupy the two small tables inside.
Buti may inabutan pa kami! (Good thing there were still some ice cream left for us to try!)
However, we also found out that Paradis Ice Cream quickly runs out. We almost didn’t catch any of their signature flavors or even their regular flavors, because they were practically sold out by the time we got there! That’s how popular they’ve become to ice cream fanatics.
They open at 2 PM, by the way. You do the math.
Our little corner in the cafe.
Veggies in your Ice Cream
Have you ever heard of Pumpkin in ice cream? How about Malunggay? I got to try Malunggay (which was the only signature veggie flavor they had left when I got there) and I’m craving for another cup as I write this, haha!
Jay’s Ube
Filipina business woman Troyes Hatcho, who co-founded Paradis with French business man Olivier Savary, came up with the concept based on her own experience with her children. She’s personally gone through the challenge of making them eat their fruits and veggies. She made ice Candies using beets, malunggay and pumpkin and her kids loved them.
She, then, had the idea of making ice Cream out of these flavors and provide healthier alternatives for desserts.
If you’ve noticed, healthy living is now starting to catch up and families, ours included, have been more conscious about the kind of food we serve our families. Paradis’ concept is perfect for this time and age.
Cookies & Cream for the kids
It’s important to note that Paradis Natural Ice cream is created right there in their kitchen and not ordered in. They have a committed team that is working on making their products 100% natural.
My kids enjoyed their Cookies & Cream ice cream flavors and Jay said he was okay with his Ube Taro. I really wish I got to try the other signature flavors. I was told that the Tomato one and the one with Red beets was really good.
I didn’t get veggie-flavored ones for my kids yet because I wanted to try them for myself first. We’re definitely coming back for more and the next time around, they’ll be trying out the veggie options.
Try Paradis for your events!
Paradis signature flavors include Chocolate&Tomato, Nutty Peanut Butter, Coco&Vanilla, Malunggay, Cookies&Cream, Ube Taro, Thai Milk Tea, Avocado, Strawberry, Vanilla Milk.
Prices on a chalk board (I love it!)
They serve kids, adults, athletes, lactose-intolerant, vegetarian and health conscious people.
They offer milk-based, soya based and yogurt-based ice cream with natural flavors of fruits and vegetables.
Paradis caters, too! You can get them for your events such as birthdays, debuts, weddings, anniversaries, parties, company events, meetings and school events.
And if you’re a call center agent or a student, watch out for discount days especially for you in the merry Summer month of May!
